How to Use Madam Glam Gels

Follow these step-by-step guides for flawless results—plus tips, common mistakes to avoid, and aftercare to keep your manicure looking salon-fresh.

Universal Prep (Start Here)

These steps apply to all gel systems below.

    Remove/push back cuticles and tidy the nail plate.

    Buff to remove surface shine.

  3. 3

    Cleanse with alcohol to remove oils and dust.

Soak Off Gel

Core System

Application Steps

  1. Apply one layer of regular base coat gel and cure 30s (UV/LED).
  2. Apply 1–2 thin coats of soak off gel color, curing 30–60s between layers (UV/LED).
  3. Finish with one layer of regular top coat gel and cure 30–60s (UV/LED).
Application Tips
  • Use base & top from the same line for best bonding.
  • Avoid lotion/cuticle oil before application to prevent lifting.
  • Apply thin coats; cure each layer fully.
  • Darker shades may need longer curing times.
  • Avoid getting gel on skin/cuticles.
  • Cap the free edge to seal the tip and sides.
Aftercare
  • Apply cuticle oil daily.
  • Avoid soaking in hot water for several hours after your mani.

Application Steps

  1. Complete the Universal Prep.
  2. Apply base coat gel and cure 30s (UV/LED).
  3. Apply 1–2 coats of soak off gel color, curing 30–60s between coats (UV/LED).
  4. Top with regular top coat gel; cure 30–60s (UV/LED).
Avoid These Mistakes
  • Applying lotion or cuticle oil before your manicure.
  • Getting gel on skin/cuticles and curing it in place.
  • Not wiping the sticky inhibition layer if your top coat requires it.
  • Applying thick coats of gel polish.

Art Gel Polish (Blooming Designs)

Creative Detail

Application Steps

  1. Apply base coat and cure 2 min UV / 30s LED.
  2. Apply a white (or chosen) base color and cure 2 min UV / 30s LED. Repeat for coverage.
  3. Apply a thin, even layer of blooming gel (don’t cure yet).
  4. Use an art brush with gel color to draw into the blooming gel; once you like the design, cure (2 min UV / 30s LED).
  5. Finish with top coat; cure 2 min UV / 30s LED.
Tool Care Tip

Clean your art brush with alcohol, acetone, or soap and warm water after use.
